Scrapping your car - frequently asked questions
Who will tell the DVLA that my car has been scrapped?
This is not something you need to worry about as if you have supplied the correct logbook for the vehicle we will notify the DVLA that you car has been taken for scrap.
Should I remove the fuel from my scrap car?
There's no need. We can remove any fuel left in the fuel tank if need be.
From what areas can you tow away scrap cars?
We can tow away scrap cars from anywhere in the Southwark area and many of the locations around it. Even if your car is not in the Southwark area, we may be able to take it. Just give us a ring to find out whether we can help.
Can I claim back unused road tax?
Yes, you will need to get a v14 form from the post office or take a look at the DVLA website.
Shall I notify the DVLA that I no longer own the car?
No, as long as you have supplied us with the logbook we will notify the DVLA that the car has been scrapped.
What happens once my scrap car is towed away?
Your vehicle is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. It goes through a strict process that we follow. We strip all of the recyclable parts of the vehicle prior to it being crushed.

Are you open on the weekend to scrap my car?
As most people work weekdays and are not around due to work commitments we work 7 days a week. (We don’t have weekends in this industry!)
